About this trial

In this study researchers are testing Pumitamig Monotherapy, a new medicine that targets specific proteins (PD-L1 and VEGF-A) on cancer cells.One part sticks to a protein called PD-L1. This protein is found on tumour cells. The study drug sticking to the PD-L1 protein helps the immune system see and attack the cancer cells. The other part of the study drug sticks to a protein called VEGF-A (vascular endothelial growth factor A. This protein is made by normal cells and tumour cells. The protein is involved with the development of blood vessels in
the body and in tumour cells. The study drug sticking to the VEGF-A protein helps restore normal development of the blood supply. It may also help the immune system attack tumour cells. This study specifically aims to evaluate how well Pumitamig works in treating patients with NSCLC compared to standard treatment Durvalumab.Durvalumab also blocks PD-L1 and works with the immune system to find and attack cancer cells. Durvalumab has become the standard treatment for your stage of NSCLC.
Patients who are eligible to participate on this study will be assigned by chance (one chance in two) to one of two treatment groups via a process called randomization. Patients assigned to treatment group one will receive Pumitamig Patients assigned to treatment group two will receive SoC Durvalumab which will be the ‘control group’. Patients will be asked to visit the study doctor for study treatment either Pumitamig by infusion every 3 weeks or Durvulamab by infusion every 4 weeks for for a maximum of 1 year, as long as their cancer is not getting worse or they do not have serious side effects.
