About this trial
The primary hypothesis is that the combination of TAS and ART improves arm-specific Quality of life and reduces lymphedema rates within the 24 months after surgery compared to ALND in patients with clinically node-positive breast cancer (cN+ BC) undergoing upfront surgery.
Patient Profile
This trial may be suitable for people with breast cancer that has spread to lymph nodes in the armpit and who are having surgery as their first treatment.
It compares standard lymph node surgery with a more targeted operation followed by radiotherapy. Researchers want to see whether the targeted approach can reduce arm swelling and improve quality of life.
