The latest updates about the upcoming DSSG meetings taking place on Friday Nov 11th, 2022, are as follows:
Meetings are hybrid: In-person & Virtual
All DSSG meetings and associated sessions (i.e. Stakeholder & Returning Investigator sessions) can be attended in-person, or via MS Teams.
If you’re coming in person, the meetings take place in RCSI, Floor 3, 26 York St, Dublin – i.e. in the building opposite the main RCSI entrance, on the same street. Once inside, go to the security desk and they will direct you to the event.

Stakeholder session (9am): Public & Patient Involvement Update
A panel including CTI’s new PPI Co-ordinator, Sarah McLoughlin, and other Patient Consultants Committee (PCC) members, will outline intentions for the coming year in terms of recruitment more PCC members, experiences to date of the DSSG meeting, and an update on a patient-led research project in metastatic breast cancer.
NOTE: This session is hybrid (virtual & in-person) and open to non-members of Cancer Trials Ireland. If you would like to attend, email info@cancertrials.ie. When applying, please indicate if you wish to attend in person, or virtually. In person places are limited to 45-50 people, and are allocated first come, first served.
Returning Investigator session (1530): Prof Aisling Barry, UCC/CUH
All members have been sent an MS Teams invitation to this session. If you have not received an invite, email info@cancertrials.ie. This session is primarily aimed at investigators of all levels – trainee to senior / principal / chief investigators. It is also open to members of Cancer Trials Ireland, and to oncology trainees, doctors and SpRs with an interest in clinical research who may not (yet) be members. This meeting is not open to any non-member not matching this description.
Gynae DSSG meeting
The Autumn gynae DSSG meeting will take place on Nov 18th at the ISGO meeting in Galway.
